OUR HISTORY

THE ORGANIZATION OF THE MONITEAU COUNTY FAIR TOOK PLACE IN CALIFORNIA, MO ON AUGUST 8TH, 1859!

HERE IS BRIEF LOOK BACK OVER THE HISTORY OF THE FAIR WHICH HAS BEEN RUNNING CONTINUOUSLY EVERY YEAR SINCE!

On behalf of the Moniteau County A&M Society, it is my great honor and privilege to welcome you to this Year’s Moniteau County Fair as we celebrate two remarkable milestones – the 160th Moniteau County Fair and the 250th Anniversary of our great nation.

For generations, our county fair has been more than an event; it has been a tradition rooted in agriculture, community, family, and patriotism. This

year’s celebration gives us an opportunity not only to honor our rich history, but also to recognize the values that continue to bring us together – hard work, service, pride and neighbor helping neighbor. As we gather to celebrate these historic anniversaries, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to the many individuals who make this fair possible each year.

To our dedicated board members, directors, fair workers, exhibitors, vendors and countless volunteers – THANK YOU for your tireless commitment, long hours and unwavering dedication. Your hard work behind the scenes ensures that our fair continues to thrive and remain a cherished tradition for future generations.

I would also like to thank our sponsors, local businesses, community organizations, and everyone who supports the fair throughout the year. Your generosity and support are deeply appreciated and play an essential role in the success of this event.

Whether you are attending the livestock shows, exhibits, entertainment, food, rides, music, competitions, or simply to spend time with family and friends, we hope you enjoy everything this special year has to offer. May this fair remind us all of the strength of our community and the pride we share in our county and our country.

Thank you for being part of this historic celebration. We look forward to making lasting memories together at the 160th Moniteau County Fair.

Sincerely,

Travis Peck, President
